I came to Milan on Christmas Eve, on a jet plane from Bulgaria. Lucky for
me, the plane decided to land in Verona, 150km away from the city. But,
travel vets find a way -- and by 10pm, by bus and train, I arrived in time for
Christmas dinner at bud Dario's place. That began my
infatuation with Milan, and as new friends appeared, I had more and more reason
to come back. Here's to bike-riding, flamingo spotting, Wii-bowling, market
shopping, beer drinking, Alp-hiking, and balcony philosophizing! Though not revered in Italy,
Milan has Quality -- and I'm proud to call it my home in Europe.
