Food and the People I Ate it With

The stomach is the perfect place for Italian cuisine and big belly laughs.
Both were plentiful in Italy, where good conversation (with much gesticulation)
can be the only outcome of a night's meal. The Italians were good spirits
and even translated on occasion. Snaps from the epic meals at Torre Albini in Milan,
Rifugio Brioschi in the Alpi, and a random supermarket in Vicenza (the employees asked my
friend Girgio three times if I was crazy). To all those I broke bread with..
