Snaps from Peru
Amazonian Rubber Boomland
Okay. There are only two ways to get there. You float or you fly. Iquitos,
a former rubber boom town, is a bit of a geographic mystery. This town without roads
leading to the outside world, has 400,000 people, buses, buildings and a very very
cool butterfly farm. Just 100 years ago, it took less time to reach Paris than to
reach Lima.
