Crossing the "Eyebrow" of the Andes

Pedro, Rebecca and I braved buses with legroom for smurves, taxis that broke down on dusty cliffside roads, and the ONLY public transport in the history of Latin America to leave BEFORE its scheduled hour (at 4am, no less!) We were rewarded with not so trodden and unescavated ruins, the onset of green vegetation (after months in the yellow of the high Andes), and great, wonderful funny hats.
